Kabaso Chongo, Edward Chilufya and Fashion Sakala were on target at the weekend, and it was a good weekend for Kabaso Chongo, Rainford Kalaba, Rally Bwalya and Frankie Musonda, all this and more in the Chipolopolo Die Hards Weekend Wrap.

BOTSWANA 🇧🇼
In the BPL, Red Lions [Zambia] product Ronald Chikomo was an unused substitute for the Security Systems side that thrashed Mogoditshane Fighters FC 4-0 in an away fixture that was played at Police College.

Elsewhere in the BPL, Motswana national Simisani Moono scored the only goal of the match for the Township Rollers side that edged Police XI 1-0. Munsanje was on the technical bench for Rollers where he serves as team doctor.

EGYPT 🇪🇬
In the WE Egyptian Premier League, former Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga was not included in the match day squad for the smaily SC side that managed a 0-0 draw in their away encounter at El Mahalla.

Over in the Egyptian 2nd tier, former Tipton Town striker Noble Rumsey had an off weekend and is still very much at Entag El Harby SC, expect to see more of him playing in 2022.

Britain- trained Zambian coach Dan Kabwe and all at Silver Strikers are off season following a very strenuous League campaign which saw finishing second of the log table with the consolation being the FDH Bank Cup title.

Versatile Zambian defender Kabaso Chongo marshaled the defense for the TP Mazembe side that posted a narrow 1-0 home win in their CAF Confederations Cup encounter against visiting South African side Marumo Gallants. Club/country-mate Rainford Kalaba featured for Mazembe but Tandi Mwape was not included in the match day squad.

Zambian goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene came on as a 90th minute substitute replacing midfielder Hashim Domingo after Dennis Onyango was handed a red card for the Mamelodi Sundowns side that posted a convincing 2-0 win over Sekhukhune United. Country-mate Toaster Nsabata was on the opposite end in goal for Sekhukhune.

Former Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Augustine Mulenga came on in the 69th minute off the .bench to play the last 21 minutes of the match for the Amazulu side that settled for a 1-1 draw in their DSTV Premiership encounter against Maritzburg United.

The Zambian duo of Austin Muwowo and Mwape Musonda were both not included in the match day rsquad for the Moroka Swallows side that was handed a humbling 2-0 defeat in their DSTV Premiership home derby encounter against Kaizer Chiefs. Former ZESCO United striker Lazarus Kambole was an unused substitute for Chiefs.

Gamphani Lungu and his SuperSport United teammates had an off weekend.

Legendary Zambian goalkeeper Davies Phiri was on the technical bench for the Lamontville Golden Arrows side where he serves as goalkeeper coach for their encounter against Baroka FC which they won by a 3-2 score. Zambian goalkeeper Cyril Mwenya Chibwe was not included in the Baroka match day squad.

Zambian midfield stalwart Nathan Sinkala tasted 78 minutes of action for the Stellenbosch FC side that dropped down to 4th place on the DSTV Premiership table after they were edged by a 3-2 score in their encounter away at Royal AM.

In the NBC Premier League, Rodgers Kola, Paul Katema and Charles Zulu and all at AZAM FC had an off weekend and that included seasoned Zambian coach George Lwandamina.

Elsewhere in the NBC Premier League Konkola Blades product Obrey Chola Chirwa featured for the Namungo FC side that was condemned to a 3-1 defeat when they took on Tanzania Prisons FC in an away encounter.

Tanzanian giants Simba gave Zambia Air Force sponsored side Red Arrows a 3-0 beating when they hosted them in a CAF Confederations Cup encounter. Zambian midfielder Rally Bwalya played the full 90 minutes of the match for Simba.

AUSTRIA 🇦🇹
Zambian striker Francisco Mwepu is still on the mend following a knee operation he underwent earlier this month which is expected to keep him out of action for u to 3 months and that meant that he was not available for selection for the Puntigamer Sturm Graz side that was beaten 2-1 by Austria Wien.

CZECH REPUBLIC 🇨🇿

Czech giants Sparta Praha thrashed the visiting FK Teplice side 3-0 in a Fortuna Liga encounter. Zambian midfielder Ngosa Sunzu was not included in the FK Teplice match day squad.

Former Power Dynamos midfielder Benson Sakala FK Viktoria played 90 minutes of the match for the FK Viktoria Zizkov side that tumbled to a 2-0 defeat when they hosted FK Varnsdorf who beat them 2-0.
